Description
This 1/4″ thick black textured soling material is made of neoprene, discarded when a shoemaking company closed – using such a material instead of sending it straight to the landfill is ecological!
It is light-weight, flexible but not floppy.
Up to size 10 shoe soles can be cut from this rectangle, but if you need a bigger piece, please email me – .
You can cut this material with a utility knife or a bandsaw, then the edge will need to be sanded with a belt sander or perhaps with a Dremel. Use what leather you have for the topsole, hopefully it is vegetable-tanned or without surface treatment because these will absorb perspiration.
I also sell this soling pre-cut, cemented to a 3-ounce vegetable topsole, with stitch holes at the same spacing as found on CORE sole patterns.
