Neoprene soles for shoes made using CORE patterns

$20.00

Description

These 1/4″ thick black textured soles with 1/8″ thick vegetable-tanned leather topsoles are made of neoprene, discarded when a shoemaking company closed – using such a material instead of sending it straight to the landfill is ecological!

This material is light-weight, flexible but not floppy.

These soles are meant to be hand-stitched to your shoe uppers. They have stitch holes punched in them in the same locations as those found in the CORE sole patterns, and there is a groove around the bottom of the soles so your stitches in the groove do not come in contact with the ground.

Before ordering soles, I suggest that you make a mock-up with a felt upper and cardboard sole (a used USPS flat-rate box is ideal), using the CORE center-seam pattern for the length of your foot. If the mock-up fits you, then these soles will fit. If you need a custom sole, 8 1/2″ x 11″ pieces of this soling are sold in another listing.
