I’m going to try this with my sister this weekend. If you were going to make shoes which you’d wear with heavier socks, would you recommend making the last over a pair of the type socks you would wear? Or will there be enough stretch in the finished shoe?
I don’t often wear socks, but when I do, they are usually fingerweight handknit socks, which are a little thicker than usual store socks.
greetings, well, if you were always going to wear socks with any of the shoes you make, then it might be a good idea to wear them while making the lasts you can always cut the last down after going through the whole process, through making a felt mock-up over your last…sharon
