Stitch-down and stitch-in slip-on PDF sandal patterns

Description

I love to “slip-on” sandals and go! If you love slip-ons too, you can make yourself a pair.

When you make “stitch-ins”, the upper is turned inward and stitched to the sole. They have a nicely-finished edge. You can make “stitch-downs” with these patterns also, which are made with the raw bottom edges of the uppers turned out and then stitched.

The patterns are for making sandals in sizes 6-10. For smaller or larger sizes, first change the percentage of adjustment of the smallest or largest pattern on a copy machine until the sole length is right for you, then adjust the upper pattern to the same percentage.

The sandal uppers can be made of many different types of materials such as handmade felt, quilted material, hooked canvas, painted canvas, needlepoint and probably more!

I suggest you use the patterns in the size you have selected and make a mock-up sandal with a felt or sturdy fabric upper and a cardboard sole. This will let you know how well it fits. For directions, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yp_rC4A6dfw&t=2s
